Although Ghana had made great strides in education sinces its independence, there are still great disparities in available opportunities for large numbers of children in both rural and densely populated urban areas to attend school.
Sent2Serve has successfully joined with a local effort who is training teachers to provide quality, elementary education.
Our role is to assist them in their ability to secure property, and or buildings in some of these areas and to help provide needed supplies necessary for the education of these children.
The government boasts subsidized enrollment in the countries schools, however the money was spent to show a 77% enrollment rate but no money was spent for equipment, books, desks or teachers. The result was three to four children per desk with no teacher of text books
